Manfredo Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Faria in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Serginho Faria notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atlético Carioca's Manfredo Rosado. Manfredo Rosado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute Daniel Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Rosado having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serginho Faria to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Carioca's goalkeeper Manfredo Rosado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Percival Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Linhares's late challenge caught a Atlético Carioca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Porto Aquiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Carioca's Kauã Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Porto Aquiri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Marinho came free, but Percival Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur Alagoano hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Kauã Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Atlético Carioca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar de Godoy to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Atlético Carioca's Alfredinho Valle got a free kick in the 81st minute. Daniel Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Atlético Carioca booed when Porto Aquiri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball.
