With a little luck, Gurupi AD's Nilton Zonta got control of the ball when Hamílton Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilton Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomás Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Xavier in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Gurupi AD's Nilton Zonta got control of the ball when Hamílton Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomás Berger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Róbson Xavier went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Válbson Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. Válbson Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Berger having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Válbson Prestes got free with Thomás Berger in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Róbson Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Berger made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Válbson Prestes sent off a good shot on target. Róbson Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Zonta having to interfere. Válbson Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Berger having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, one of Pergamo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gilberto Carneiro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
