Palestra Eterno's Samuel McGhee was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 8th minute, Palestra Eterno's Samuel McGhee ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cláudio Goiano. Cláudio Goiano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 10th minute, Aproaga EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Agostinho Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Emílio Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aníbal Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Jorge Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Goiano. Aproaga EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Messias got free with Cláudio Goiano in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aladin Cave in the 27th minute of play forced Aproaga EC's goalkeeper Cláudio Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 31 in the game by Samuel McGhee from a close distance when the talented Cláudio Goiano managed to make a qualified save. Aproaga EC's players were relieved. Samuel McGhee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Goiano having to interfere. Aproaga EC's Cláudio Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Aproaga EC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Sérgio Gerber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cláudio Goiano. The goal made the score 6-0. With his leg Cláudio Goiano managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Palestra Eterno's Samuel McGhee fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Samuel McGhee in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cláudio Goiano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Sérgio Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel McGhee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel McGhee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Samuel McGhee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Samuel McGhee put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cláudio Goiano. 62 minutes into the game, Palestra Eterno's Samuel McGhee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel McGhee in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel McGhee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Goiano having to interfere. Samuel McGhee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cláudio Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aproaga EC's Cláudio Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Carvalho in the 72nd minute of play. Samuel McGhee scored 10-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio Goiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adrianinho Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Aproaga EC defense, Jorge Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Goiano. The Aproaga EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Goiano should have stopped the shot. After 93 minutes, Samuel McGhee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra Eterno and the Aproaga EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Samuel McGhee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aladin Cave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Messias in the 96th minute of the match. Palestra Eterno's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
