Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Souto to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Sandro Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Lopes was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Comandante EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vinícius Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cutiu's protests and gave Vinícius Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Cutiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Marinho to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
