If Augusto Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Botelho in the 7th minute of play forced Red Hot Chili Peppers's goalkeeper Elder Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Botelho scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. André Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Esteves having to interfere. Yuri Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Augusto Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Hot Chili Peppers's Elder Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Vítor de Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elder Antunes. Red Hot Chili Peppers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Tauapiranga fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Tauapiranga's Augusto Queiroz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yuri Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Prestes went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 36 minutes in the game, André Paraíba fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yuri Esteves having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Prestes got free with Yuri Esteves in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Tauapiranga getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Augusto Queiroz hit a great ball. Red Hot Chili Peppers's Elder Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Botelho in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Red Hot Chili Peppers's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Queiroz came free, but Elder Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After a defensive mix-up in Red Hot Chili Peppers's zone, Augusto Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Antunes came out of the goal and Augusto Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Red Hot Chili Peppers's Elder Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Queiroz in the 57th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Yuri Botelho in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Red Hot Chili Peppers's zone, Yuri Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Antunes came out of the goal and Yuri Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Augusto Queiroz took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Elder Antunes to make any attempt to save it. Augusto Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute Nestor Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Botelho in the 80th minute. Elder Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Eduardo Neiva during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Augusto Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Antunes having to interfere. Yuri Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Red Hot Chili Peppers's zone, Augusto Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Antunes came out of the goal and Augusto Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Tauapiranga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Red Hot Chili Peppers throughout the match.
