One of Lagoinha SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Morao:s goal. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Morao's Arlindo Gaúcho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Belchior Valladares.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulisses Sampaio to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Edson de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Lagoinha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Melo to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Dante during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Téo Dante hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, one of Lagoinha SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lagoinha SC. Morao's Alexandre Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Sampaio in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Morao's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Sampaio came free, but Alexandre Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edson de Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belchior Valladares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edson de Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. Erivaldo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Belchior Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Britto in the 94th minute of play forced Lagoinha SC's goalkeeper Belchior Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Lagoinha SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edson de Medeiros came free, but Belchior Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morao's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
