Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arnaldo do Valle started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Marcos de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Novolina AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Novolina AD booed when Capecu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, Capecu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui da Mata to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franklin da Cunha during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Novolina AD booed when Capecu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franklin da Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Paulinho Rezende skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Novolina AD's Paulinho Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo do Valle in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Novolina AD's zone, Arnaldo do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulinho Rezende came out of the goal and Arnaldo do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Marcos de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos de Almeida took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Motta. Ricardo Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 33 minutes, Egídio Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novolina AD and the Capecu SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egídio Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Arnaldo do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

53 minutes into the match, Capecu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Britto came free, but Ricardo Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Capecu SS's Otávio Cearense got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos de Almeida got free with Ricardo Motta in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simão Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Simão Britto took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Motta. Ricardo Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Marcos de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Motta having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Rui da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Simão Britto came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Novolina AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Britto couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes in the game, Simão Britto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ricardo Motta having to interfere. Marcos de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Motta having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Britto in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Motta saved Capecu SS from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simão Britto in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Ricardo Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novolina AD. Novolina AD's Paulinho Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin da Cunha in the 86th minute of play. Paulinho Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo do Valle in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo do Valle in the 89th minute of play forced Novolina AD's goalkeeper Paulinho Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franklin da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Paulinho Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Novolina AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
