Guaibim's Yan Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Azevedo in the 4th minute of play. The referee ignored Guaibim's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Braga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Silver Star booed when Guaibim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Star's zone, Gualter Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Gualter Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
