After having played for 11 minutes, Leonel Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Peter-Michael Van Damme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E Santa Rita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to S.E Santa Rita getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sidney Antunes hit a great ball. S.E Santa Rita's Beto Messias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save S.E Santa Rita from getting a goal against them. Arí Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Beto Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rômulo de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E Santa Rita's supporters rose to their feet, but Rômulo de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's goal looked a bit too open when Peter-Michael Van Damme came free, but Amílton do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Arí Peres got a free kick in the 48th minute. Amílton do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter-Michael Van Damme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half S.E Santa Rita were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Linares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Abayhan Kutalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Emanuel Ceresso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Messias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO were furious when Arnaldo Mesquita was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Amílton do Nascimento, was totally fooled by S.E Santa Rita's Giuseppe Paranaense, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amílton do Nascimento. In the 70th minute, Rômulo de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Messias having to interfere. After some careless play in the SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO defense, Rômulo de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton do Nascimento. The SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton do Nascimento should have stopped the shot. Rômulo de Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Amílton do Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 97 minutes into the match, Igor Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beto Messias. S.E Santa Rita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Rômulo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 102nd minute. Amílton do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E Santa Rita walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
