In the 28thth minute of the game Nilton Tande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaja Esporte Clube's Hortêncio Tepedino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th match minute, Itaja Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Porto in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Tepedino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Valério Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Abel Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdomiro Vidal made a kick off. Nilton Tande took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hortêncio Tepedino.
