After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Raí Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walter´S FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidnei Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Walter´S FC's goalkeeper Edmundo Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Walter´S FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Mattos came free, but Edmundo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Mattos in the 19th minute of the match. Edgard Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Gomes having to interfere. The supporters of Walter´S FC booed when Manguaça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Walter´S FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Mattos came free, but Edmundo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Mattos in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th match minute, Manguaça was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Walter´S FC's Edmundo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Mattos in the 57th minute of play.
