Giuseppe Neto hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Adelino Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edmundo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adelino Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, ChessTosterone SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Paes came free, but Edmundo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube Atlético Mineiro's Adelino Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Genílson Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Clube Atlético Mineiro were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ChessTosterone SC to leave the ground with a draw.
