Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Vasconcelos started the match with the kick off. Gualter Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Madureira having to interfere. Enéas Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enéas Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes CASTRO ZEN got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Sousa. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Ronaldo Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piauna EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualter Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Luisão Madureira made a huge save. Piauna EC's Gualter Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Piauna EC's Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CASTRO ZEN's goalie prevented a goal. When Piauna EC's Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CASTRO ZEN's goalie prevented a goal. Agostinho de Barros struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Luisão Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piauna EC. Edmundo Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Sousa in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Durvalino Vasconcelos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luisão Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Piauna EC's Gualter Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Enéas Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piauna EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enéas Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agostinho de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 46 minutes into the game, Davi Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CASTRO ZEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piauna EC the free kick. Piauna EC made a substitution. Sílvio Luiz Dracena replaced Enéas Albuquerque. The supporters of Piauna EC booed when CASTRO ZEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caetano Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. Durvalino Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Dracena in the 57th minute of play. Enrique Pena hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Madureira saved CASTRO ZEN from getting behind. Agostinho de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisão Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agostinho de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Luisão Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Trigo in the 67th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Gualter Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisão Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisão Madureira was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Durval Lara lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 73rd minute, one of Piauna EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Piauna EC. Luisão Madureira came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Piauna EC's Agostinho de Barros. But to his dismay, Agostinho de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Betinho Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Luisão Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Jean Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Madureira having to interfere. Piauna EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
