The referee ignored Piauna EC's protests and gave Betinho Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Betinho Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Arce got free with Edmundo Nascimento in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Piauna EC's goalkeeper Edmundo Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Arce. Agostinho de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durvalino Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Reis in the 13th minute of play forced Piauna EC's goalkeeper Edmundo Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Sílvio Luís Arce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agora vai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Piauna EC's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Reis came free, but Edmundo Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Piauna EC's goalkeeper Edmundo Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Arce. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enéas Albuquerque in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Matos saved Agora vai from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Cristiano Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agora vai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piauna EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Agora vai's Cristiano Motta got a free kick in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durvalino Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jonathan Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Agora vai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Motta to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Durvalino Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Agora vai's Cristiano Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 56 minutes into the game, Durvalino Vasconcelos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Matos. Durvalino Vasconcelos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. With a little luck, Agora vai's Jonathan Matos got control of the ball when Agostinho de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 minutes of play Agora vai's Cristiano Motta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Cristiano Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Enéas Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piauna EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enéas Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enéas Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Agora vai's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gualter Trigo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 67 in the game by Durvalino Vasconcelos from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Matos managed to make a qualified save. Agora vai's players were relieved. Enéas Albuquerque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Matos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agora vai's goalkeeper Jonathan Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by João Gonçalves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Matos saved Agora vai from getting behind. After having played for 90 minutes, Enéas Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piauna EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enéas Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Piauna EC's Durvalino Vasconcelos in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Agora vai's goalie prevented a goal. Betinho Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Piauna EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Agora vai throughout the match.
