The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Duarte Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Peres couldn't finish the play. Donato Abraão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Washington Guimarães. Canelas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ulisses de Barros was a little too slow when Dorival Peres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Nelson de Barros hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Mozilla EC's Ulisses de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Mozilla EC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Dorival Peres notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Mozilla EC's Ulisses de Barros. Ulisses de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 26 in the game by Dorival Peres from a close distance when the talented Ulisses de Barros managed to make a qualified save. Mozilla EC's players were relieved. In the 31st minute Duarte Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Canelas FC's Dorival Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulisses de Barros came out of the goal and Dorival Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Canelas FC's Dorival Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses de Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Peres made a kick off. Ulisses de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Peres in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Quirino in the 53rd minute of play forced Mozilla EC's goalkeeper Ulisses de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Dorival Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorival Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ulisses de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Peres's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Canelas FC's Hélder Andrade was substituted for Tostão Cardoso. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dorival Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mozilla EC's Geovanni de Andrade got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Canelas FC's Dorival Peres made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulisses de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Canelas FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
