Basílio Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Cardozo in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, João Pedro Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Pedro Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulinho Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. João Paulo Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Toscano having to interfere. João Pedro Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Luz made a huge save. Basílio Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Cardozo in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ultra Copos BR's goalkeeper Ezequiel Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro Seco. Dieguinho Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Basílio Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Oscar Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Paulo Futebol Clube and the Ultra Copos BR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Oscar Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If João Paulo Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Luz having to interfere. A collision led to Ultra Copos BR getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alfredão Alcântara hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ultra Copos BR's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Maranhense came free, but Ezequiel Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When João Paulo Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ultra Copos BR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Cardozo couldn't finish the play. In the 54th match minute, Ultra Copos BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Maurinho de Godoi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ultra Copos BR's Ezequiel Luz didn't even have to move. If João Pedro Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ultra Copos BR's Eriberto Quirino got a free kick in the 60th minute. Rui Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Ezequiel Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Paulo Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pedro Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezequiel Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedro Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dieguinho Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. São Paulo Futebol Clube's Rui Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to São Paulo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Samuca Oliveira hit a great ball. Ultra Copos BR's Ezequiel Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Maranhense in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Maranhense in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
