If Wanderson Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cícero Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durvalino Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Neverland were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wanderson Romero made a kick off. Baltazar Toledo made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Durvalino Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. In the 52ndth minute of the game Renan de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neverland's Cícero Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Neverland booed when Lorenzo War FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neverland's supporters rose to their feet, but Durvalino Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Neverland getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Danilo Monteiro hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Wanderson Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Wanderson Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltazar Toledo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Wanderson Romero notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lorenzo War FC's Baltazar Toledo. Baltazar Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
