Robinho Fontes struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. João Adolfo de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvenápolis F.C.. In the 12th minute, Osvaldo Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fernando de Salles made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Alvenápolis F.C.'s zone, Alan Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando de Salles came out of the goal and Alan Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Osvaldo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo de Carvalho having to interfere. Fernando de Salles made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Abelardo Félix sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th minute, Waldir Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robinho Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Fernando de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Eduardo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fernando de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Mandrak was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Alvenápolis F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Daier FC:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Daier FC. Arí Donatello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernando de Salles. 2-0. Renan Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Daier FC's João Adolfo de Carvalho got control of the ball when Frédson Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Daier FC booed when Alvenápolis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Alvenápolis F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Norberto de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tostão Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but João Adolfo de Carvalho made a huge save. Renan Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robinho Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo de Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Ediberto Siqueira hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 98 played minutes Alvenápolis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Tepedino. The Daier FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
