In the 3rd match minute, São Paulo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Queirós to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, São Paulo Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Couto came free, but Basílio Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lorenzo War FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Lorenzo War FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Maranhense came free, but Baltazar Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pedro Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baltazar Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Lorenzo War FC booed when São Paulo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuca Oliveira in the 28th minute. If Rui Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Seco struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Baltazar Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo Futebol Clube. After a rather tough play, Lorenzo War FC's Renan de Godoi got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rui Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Rui Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Baltazar Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lorenzo War FC's zone, João Pedro Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Toledo came out of the goal and João Pedro Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Quadros was the one to do the kick off. When Felipe Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Lorenzo War FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Quadros couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, São Paulo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo War FC's Baltazar Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Seco in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Maranhense in the 68th minute of play forced Lorenzo War FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If João Pedro Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Urbano during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baltazar Toledo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo Futebol Clube's Rui Maranhense. But to his dismay, Rui Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Válter Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Quadros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 99th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Lorenzo War FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lorenzo War FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
