Xarqueda's Kaká Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Gonçalves in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Xarqueda's Sílvio Luís Corrêa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusébio Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sílvio Luís Corrêa's late challenge caught a Real Olympic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luís Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Corrêa in the 19th minute of play forced Real Olympic's goalkeeper Eusébio Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eusébio Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Cardoso in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Osvaldinho de Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Olympic and the Xarqueda players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Olympic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Xarqueda. Víktor Alcântara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Dracena. 0-2. Thomás Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Jailson Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xarqueda's Kaká Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Haroldo Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Dracena having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Real Olympic's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Cardoso came free, but Eusébio Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Corrêa in the 47th minute of play forced Real Olympic's goalkeeper Eusébio Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Gonçalves made a kick off. Sílvio Luís Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Dracena came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xarqueda's Ciro Cardoso. But to his dismay, Ciro Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Ciro Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ciro Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xarqueda's protests and gave Ciro Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Xarqueda's Ciro Cardoso got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jailson Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kaká Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Dracena having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Sílvio Luís Corrêa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Kaká Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jailson Gonçalves went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Eusébio Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Cardoso in the 85th minute. In the 91st minute Zézinho de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Gonçalves in the 93rd minute of play forced Xarqueda's goalkeeper Kaká Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Souza took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaká Gomes. Kaká Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Xarqueda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
