In the 14th minute, Sílvio Luiz Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luiz Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Benjamin Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Lenílson Cordeiro made a huge save. If Faustão Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Antas SC! Lenílson Cordeiro had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Bebeto Leal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Bebeto Leal did a trick in the 30th minute in front of Antas SC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Relampago's Bebeto Leal! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Bueno in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Cearense in the 40th minute of play forced Antas SC's goalkeeper Lenílson Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Bueno in the 46th minute of play forced Relampago's goalkeeper Benjamin Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joélson Pereira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benjamin Carioca. Relampago's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Bueno to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Michel Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lenílson Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Relampago getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gernando Hermes hit a great ball. Michel Bueno did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Benjamin Carioca 66 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Alfredinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Cearense in the 74th minute of the match. Alfredinho Maranhense took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lenílson Cordeiro. Lenílson Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Michel Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Carioca having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Relampago's zone, Vítor Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Carioca came out of the goal and Vítor Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustão Sena during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Antas SC booed when Relampago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Bebeto Leal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lenílson Cordeiro skillfully saved the ball. Michel Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antas SC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
