The referee ignored Bulhufas F.C's protests and gave Rodrigo Berger a yellow card for diving instead. Dorival Britto's late challenge caught a Bulhufas F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorival Britto helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Relampago:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bulhufas F.C:s goal. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Bulhufas F.C's Diogo Amaral got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benjamin Carioca. In the 12th match minute, Relampago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Sena to maneuver through the defense. Matías Cearense might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklin Alves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matías Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. Adilson Moura struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Benjamin Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulhufas F.C. Franklin Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Cearense in the 33rd minute of play. Benjamin Carioca made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rodrigo Berger sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Álvaro Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Bulhufas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Porto. Franklin Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Penha in the 42nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Porto during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Porto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Franklin Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adilson Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Moura in the 51st minute of the match. Frédson Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adilson Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Carioca having to interfere. Frédson Penha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 58th playminute. 62 minutes into the match, Bulhufas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Cearense came free, but Franklin Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matías Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Franklin Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Bulhufas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Porto. The crowd rose to their feet as Matías Cearense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franklin Alves. That made the score 1-3 in the 89 minute of play. Relampago's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
