Sérgio Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Time do Povo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Monsanto AD's Sérgio Hoffmann got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8 played minutes Time do Povo got a freekick which was hit by Natanael de Azevedo. Osmar Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeca Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Sergipano having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Manoel Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monsanto AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Cássio Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luís Gustavo Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Gaspar in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeca Baptista in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Sergipano saved Time do Povo from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeca Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel Gaspar got free with Jean Sergipano in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cássio Lopes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. After 56 played minutes Time do Povo got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Lopes. Osmar Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monsanto AD's Manoel Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manoel Gaspar took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Sergipano. Jean Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Osmar Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Varela having to interfere. Osmar Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Osmar Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Gustavo Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Lira in the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Zeca Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monsanto AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Time do Povo's Jean Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Time do Povo from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Monsanto AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
