A collision led to XUXA 16 getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Enio Sena hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes Araguaina Fc got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Leal. 10 minutes into the match, XUXA 16's goalkeeper Clemente Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murilo Xavier. 13 minutes into the match, XUXA 16's Válbson Munhoz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amauri de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of XUXA 16 booed when Araguaina Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match XUXA 16 got a corner. Araguaina Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor da Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on XUXA 16's corner Nestor da Costa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amauri de Queirós quite easily take care of the ball. Amauri de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Borges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Xavier in the 33rd minute. With his leg Clemente Borges managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Araguaina Fc's Mathias Falcão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clemente Borges was a little too slow when Mathias Falcão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Murilo Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguaina Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Borges was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Mathias Falcão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mathias Falcão really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Murilo Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Falcão scored 4-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Borges, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of XUXA 16 booed when Araguaina Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Marcinho Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XUXA 16's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute Válbson Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Mathias Falcão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Murilo Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Araguaina Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Xavier couldn't finish the play. Mathias Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Clemente Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murilo Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Narciso Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Araguaina Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XUXA 16 the free kick. Araguaina Fc's Mathias Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mathias Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Xavier struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Clemente Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araguaina Fc. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Araguaina Fc fully deserved thier win.
