Elivélton Prata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, SóCapimCanela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Prata came free, but Richard Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Richard Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes in the game, Elivélton Prata fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Richard Leme having to interfere. In the 18th minute Elivélton Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elivélton Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Leme having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Jeferson Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Sandrinho Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Leme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel de Medeiros in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Washington Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel Cardozo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Fábio Cordeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandrinho Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Cordeiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Onze Extremos F.C defense, Osvaldo Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fábio Cordeiro. The Onze Extremos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fábio Cordeiro should have stopped the shot. Fábio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Nóbrega in the 66th minute of play. After 74 minutes, Washington Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SóCapimCanela FC and the Onze Extremos F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Percy Leal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Elivélton Prata struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Richard Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onze Extremos F.C. After a defensive mix-up in Onze Extremos F.C's zone, Ezequiel Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Cordeiro came out of the goal and Ezequiel Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Fábio Cordeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when SóCapimCanela FC's Ezequiel Cardozo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Samuel de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Onze Extremos F.C's Elivélton Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elivélton Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SóCapimCanela FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Onze Extremos F.C from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
