XUXA 16's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Maneiro FC the free kick. The supporters of Atlético Maneiro FC booed when XUXA 16 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jailson Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Maneiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Borges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serginho Marquez in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. If Válbson Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 80th minute of the match Cícero Barral completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cícero Barral a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of XUXA 16 booed when Atlético Maneiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Moreno took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Vander. Richard Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fábio Valle during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Atlético Maneiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Valle. XUXA 16's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nestor da Costa in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Moreno got free with Richard Vander in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Atlético Maneiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
