Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sandrinho Dante got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Jailson Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Maneiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético Maneiro FC's Jailson Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Bezerra in the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Atlético Maneiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Valle to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Dante in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Vander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Ezequiel Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandrinho Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Atlético Maneiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Dante came free, but Richard Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, SóCapimCanela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Jailson Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sandrinho Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Vander was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Sandrinho Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sandrinho Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, SóCapimCanela FC's Richard Leme got control of the ball when Jailson Saraiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jailson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SóCapimCanela FC's zone, Jailson Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Leme came out of the goal and Jailson Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandrinho Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Vander having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, SóCapimCanela FC's goalkeeper Richard Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Saraiva. Sandrinho Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Dante in the 87th minute of play. When Sandrinho Dante came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SóCapimCanela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandrinho Dante couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
