Percy Freire came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Araguaina Fc's Mathias Falcão. But to his dismay, Mathias Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Percy Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Confrade A.C.'s Hugo Esparteiro got a free kick in the 16th minute. Percy Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Mangueira went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Ricardinho Bertassi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amauri de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Raimundo Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Araguaina Fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maurício Toledo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Percy Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Xavier in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Araguaina Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir do Vale to maneuver through the defense. If Ramiro de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Araguaina Fc were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Percy Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murilo Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Percy Freire made a huge save. Amauri de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Toledo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Edvaldo do Nascimento in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Confrade A.C.'s Ramiro de Almeida. Confrade A.C.'s Percy Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Falcão in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Xavier got free with Percy Freire in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurício Toledo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Amauri de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Confrade A.C.. Raimundo Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Percy Freire made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Araguaina Fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
