Maracuja's Murillo Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Trevisan in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Barbosa Family United's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Sampaio came free, but Felippe Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felippe Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Sampaio in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Luizinho Sampaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felippe Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barbosa Family United's goalkeeper Felippe Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felippe Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Barbosa Family United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Róbson Motta hit a great ball. If Duarte Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valdemar de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maracuja's protests and gave Valdemar de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Maracuja got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar de Lara. In the 42nd minute Jonathan Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Antunes having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Trevisan to make the kick off. Jonathan Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Lauro Veloso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Felippe Carioca. The goal made the score 1-2. If Luizinho Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Barbosa Family United's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Sampaio came free, but Felippe Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizinho Sampaio in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felippe Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maracuja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbosa Family United the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Lauro Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th play minute Lauro Veloso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Felippe Carioca. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Álvaro de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracuja's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frédson Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Antunes having to interfere. In the 97th minute of the match, Luizinho Sampaio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felippe Carioca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Maracuja walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
