Guto Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Favoretto in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Wilian Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Fogo Central's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabedelos the free kick. After a rather tough play, CA Fogo Central's Wilian Lara got a free kick in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Paranaense during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CA Fogo Central's Délio Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Rosa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Murillo Leal fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Fogo Central's protests and gave Murillo Leal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CA Fogo Central getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Murillo Leal hit a great ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Guto Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabedelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Jonathan Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cabedelos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Guto Favoretto took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremias Barbosa. Jeremias Barbosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Guto Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Barbosa having to interfere. If Washington Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guto Favoretto made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Zanette in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilvan Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 62 played minutes Cabedelos got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Eger. When CA Fogo Central's Washington Barros in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cabedelos's goalie prevented a goal. Gilvan Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Washington Barros went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, CA Fogo Central's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ulisses Paes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. CA Fogo Central's Washington Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Délio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in CA Fogo Central's zone, Guto Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Barbosa came out of the goal and Guto Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Barros in the 87th minute of play forced Cabedelos's goalkeeper Gilvan Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Délio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guto Favoretto hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cabedelos getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jonathan Rosa hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, CA Fogo Central's Wilian Lara tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. CA Fogo Central's Washington Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The CA Fogo Central supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cabedelos's performance. The match ended with a win for Cabedelos.
