Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fabrício Rosa got the match started through his kick off. 9 minutes into the game, Aloísio Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meaipe AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo Castilla the free kick. After 9 played minutes Meaipe AD got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Recife. When Enio Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo Castilla's protests and gave Enio Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. Enio Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Fabrício Rosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgard Pirani. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 22 minutes, Pedrinho Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo Castilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Armandinho Salles fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meaipe AD's protests and gave Armandinho Salles a yellow card for diving instead. Armandinho Salles hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Edgard Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Rosa in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Célio Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Flamengo Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Salles came free, but Zeca Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Armandinho Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Aloísio Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Meaipe AD's Edgard Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Rosa in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Meaipe AD's Geovanni Souto got a free kick in the 41st minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armandinho Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Paulo José Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Rosa in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Flamengo Castilla got a corner. Meaipe AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enio Aparecido ran over to the corner to take the kick. 60 minutes into the match, Aloísio Recife notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Flamengo Castilla's Zeca Fantini. Zeca Fantini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th play minute Aloísio Recife came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zeca Fantini. 1-4. If Pedrinho Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Aloísio Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meaipe AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 84th minute, one of Flamengo Castilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Flamengo Castilla. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo Castilla's goalkeeper Zeca Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgard Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the Meaipe AD defense, Fabrício Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Pirani. The Meaipe AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Pirani should have stopped the shot. Meaipe AD played a much better game than Flamengo Castilla and deserved their victory. The Flamengo Castilla players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
