But to his dismay, Afonsinho Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 28th match minute, Sinunga EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesinha Medeiros in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeu Oliveira saved Sinunga EC from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Sinunga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Chaves came free, but Tadeu Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Afonsinho Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristais Paulista F.C.'s attack was well implemented in the 35th minute, but when Cesinha Medeiros was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Gualter Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aírton Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Trigo in the 44th minute of the match. Afonsinho Chaves struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Tadeu Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cristais Paulista F.C.. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Trigo made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sinunga EC's goalkeeper Tadeu Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesinha Medeiros. 55 minutes into the match, Cristais Paulista F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Trigo came free, but Aírton Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sinunga EC's Tadeu Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sinunga EC from getting a goal against them. When Dário Vides fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sinunga EC's protests and gave Dário Vides a yellow card for diving instead. Cesinha Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tadeu Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
