In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dedos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Baltazar Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Barsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Arnaldo Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Luís Barsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Barsi in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Cresenciano in the 19th minute of play forced Dedos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Baltazar Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilson Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Gilson Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Hajduk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Luís Barsi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galópolis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Barsi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Arantes having to interfere. If Arnaldo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Luís Barsi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baltazar Arantes. Dedos Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Barsi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Arnaldo Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evandro Matorin was the one to do the kick off. Evandro Matorin scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Hajduk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Luís Barsi came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Galópolis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Barsi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Matorin in the 63rd minute of play forced Galópolis FC's goalkeeper Emil Hajduk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evandro Matorin took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Hajduk. Emil Hajduk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 75 minutes into the game, Galópolis FC's Edu Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltazar Arantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Barsi got free with Baltazar Arantes in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Abelardo da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson Baiano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Arnaldo Pitta took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Baltazar Arantes to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Dedos Futebol Clube's zone, Egídio Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Arantes came out of the goal and Egídio Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galópolis FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
