Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5450, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Macedo in the 7th minute of play forced L.Kings F.C.'s goalkeeper Luizão Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Wellington Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Delfim Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Theophilus SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Abreu couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes, Dino Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the L.Kings F.C. and the Theophilus SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 19 minutes into the match, L.Kings F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Abreu came free, but Luizão Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cafu Sarmento in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arí Fontes saved Theophilus SC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Wellington Macedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizão Seco. L.Kings F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Macedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wellington Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Seco having to interfere. Wellington Macedo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Luizão Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Theophilus SC. Cafu Sarmento was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. L.Kings F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The nice shot from Túlio de Lara in the 48thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Arí Fontes had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After the first half Theophilus SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wellington Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the L.Kings F.C. defense, Delfim Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Seco. The L.Kings F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Seco should have stopped the shot. Cafu Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arí Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Theophilus SC's Arí Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Sarmento in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Theophilus SC's goalkeeper Arí Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denílson do Nascimento hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Cafu Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gildo Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gildo Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Theophilus SC got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Lira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Marquez during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dedê Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Theophilus SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
