Hélder Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Nildo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hélder Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Pereira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 19 minutes into the match, EC Suga Osso's goalkeeper Hélder Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tostão Ramalho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tostão Ramalho got free with Hélder Paraibano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 26 minutes, Hernani Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Suga Osso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Eduardo Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandrinho Capixaba's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Nildo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nildo Pereira succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. OFF's Luiz Eduardo Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Cardozo in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernani Cardozo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Tostão Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the game, André Luís Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Suga Osso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OFF the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, OFF's Horácio Mazza tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nildo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hélder Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. OFF's Luiz Eduardo Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Cardozo in the 61st minute of play. Sandrinho Capixaba scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Eduardo Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. OFF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing EC Suga Osso to leave the ground with a draw.
