Luiz Paulo Meirelles hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aílton Melo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Oliveira saved Zimbros AD from getting behind. If Wellington Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zimbros AD's Romeu Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Melo in the 15th minute of play. Nelson Costa was a little too slow when William de Godoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 19th minute, Mateus Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico França's late challenge caught a Zimbros AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eurico França helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Zimbros AD booed when Canoa SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico França didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by William de Godoi in the 25th minute of play forced Canoa SS's goalkeeper Nelson Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Costa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zimbros AD's Mateus Loyola got a free kick in the 31st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Canoa SS's Eurico França tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Canoa SS's Wellington Prado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mateus Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Zimbros AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Eurico França, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, William de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zimbros AD's supporters rose to their feet, but William de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Costa having to interfere. Nelson Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas de Andrade in the 46th minute. The goalkeeper, Nelson Costa, was totally fooled by Zimbros AD's Arí Moreira, who 50 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

William de Godoi scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeu Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aílton Melo in the 92nd minute. Lucas de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When Waldir de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canoa SS's protests and gave Waldir de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 99th minute, Waldir de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
