Jairo Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Bruno Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Senna in the 25th minute of play forced Clube de Campo's goalkeeper Ademar Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Clube de Campo's Ademar Sarmento got control of the ball when Telmo Oliveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renan Mandrak's late challenge caught a Clube de Campo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Souto having to interfere. In the 46th minute Bruno Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Silvério Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvério Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Almir Souto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cícero Terra. Almir Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marumby's Almir Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Sena in the 76th minute of play. Marumby's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bruno Sena 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. João Paulo Rezende hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Almir Souto was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Bruno Sena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Sena really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. With his leg Almir Souto managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Clube de Campo's Luiz Gustavo Mazza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clube de Campo's Bruno Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Marumby's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sena came free, but Almir Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube de Campo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
