Alfredo Neiva's late challenge caught a Clube de Campo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredo Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 39th minute Bruno Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfredo Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Alfredo Neiva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ademar Sarmento, passed just outside the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Neiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
