In the 7th match minute, Brincadeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Romero to maneuver through the defense. Wilian Quintal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes, Guga Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itariry and the Brincadeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Guga Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valério Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Rogério Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antônio Carlos Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Carlos Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Hélder da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Itariry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Edgard Mineiro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hélder da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abel de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Amadeu Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brincadeira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itariry the free kick. A collision led to Brincadeira FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Amadeu Massa hit a great ball. Maurinho Dantas, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Abel de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Quintal in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilian Quintal made a kick off. Abel de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brincadeira FC's Amadeu Massa got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 61st minute Rogério Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valério Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilian Quintal struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Abel de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itariry. Abel de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Quintal in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Itariry getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Wilian Quintal hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogério Meireles in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Dracena saved Itariry from getting behind. Abel de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder da Silveira in the 82nd minute. Hélder da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel de Carvalho having to interfere. Gildo Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Dracena having to interfere. Abel de Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Hélder da Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Gildo Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Valério Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
