Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Júlio Brodel kicked off to start the match. Romeu Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. João Carlos Vargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otávio Moraes having to make a save. Caturama Esporte Clube's João Carlos Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caturama Esporte Clube's João Carlos Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Magno Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caturama Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mata Linda the free kick. Ademir Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enio de Sousa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ademir Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Filipe Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match Davi Tinoco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Gomes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Mata Linda's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Brodel came free, but Otávio Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Téo Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Caturama Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Enio de Sousa. Geovani Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Filipe Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sílvio Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Mendonça in the 48th minute of play forced Caturama Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Filipe Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute, Mata Linda's Ademir Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, João Carlos Vargas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Moraes. Mata Linda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Carlos Vargas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. João Carlos Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Otávio Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Caturama Esporte Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Geovani Guedes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Geovani Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mata Linda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Guedes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Caturama Esporte Clube's zone, Geovani Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Gomes came out of the goal and Geovani Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mata Linda booed when Caturama Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mata Linda's Otávio Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Vargas in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Mata Linda getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Olavo Figueiredo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, João Carlos Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caturama Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 86 minutes, João Carlos Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caturama Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Carlos Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Moraes having to interfere. Filipe Gomes was a little too slow when Ademir Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, Mata Linda's Geovani Guedes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mata Linda's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
