Anderson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Açorianos rs's zone, Eugênio Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Açorianos rs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dé Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugênio Arruda couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes, Açorianos rs's Lúcio Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franklin Pirani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Açorianos rs reached it. A collision led to Açorianos rs getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Evandro Maciel hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Anderson Fontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 65th match minute, G3nerationX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Açorianos rs's Jânio Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Armando Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anderson Fontes.
