Leandronses's Acácio Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Super Stars's zone, Acácio Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Oliveira came out of the goal and Acácio Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Davi Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Super Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leandronses the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Super Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Arce to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Leandronses booed when Super Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Aguiar in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Super Stars's Rafa da Cunha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Super Stars's Vinícius Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Davi Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Rafa da Cunha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Leandronses's Geovanni Soeiro. Geovanni Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Super Stars were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mário Recife made the kick off in the second half. If Vinícius Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rafa da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Soeiro having to interfere. Mário Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Davi Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davi Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Super Stars's Rafa da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Rafa da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Super Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa da Cunha couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Super Stars booed when Leandronses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Olívio Azevedo in the 78th minute really tested Geovanni Soeiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa da Cunha got free with Geovanni Soeiro in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Acácio Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Acácio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Mário Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Acácio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Geovanni Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Super Stars's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
