Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Didi de Toledo kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Leonel de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vazamor SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirapitinguy the free kick. Leonel de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tião Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Didi de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vazamor SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pirapitinguy's Amílton Perez got a free kick in the 8th minute. Osvaldo Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Didi de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirapitinguy's Eurico da Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eurico da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi de Toledo in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi de Toledo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Vaz got free with Telmo Viana in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute Lenílson Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Osvaldo Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Pirapitinguy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Vaz couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Vazamor SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Bastos to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Marques to make the kick off. The supporters of Pirapitinguy booed when Vazamor SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Custódio tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Telmo Viana. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Pirapitinguy got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Almeida. In the 57th minute, Lenílson Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenílson Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Eurico da Silva made a huge save. 65 minutes into the game, one of Pirapitinguy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Paulo José Ferreira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 70th minute, Tião Marques made a precise shot to the right of Telmo Viana. Vazamor SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 73 minutes into the match, Lenílson Sena notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Pirapitinguy's Eurico da Silva. Eurico da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Pirapitinguy's zone, Didi de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico da Silva came out of the goal and Didi de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 90 minutes on the clock, Simão Baiano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pirapitinguy! 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 92 played minutes, when Vazamor SS:s Paulo José Ferreira calmly waited for Pirapitinguy:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Pirapitinguy's Eurico da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi de Toledo in the 99th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
