After 26 minutes of play, Joana's Oséas Cardozo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horácio da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luís Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Horácio da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Arantes in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luís Arantes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horácio da Mata was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Horácio da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Oséas Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Joana's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Brito came free, but Tomás Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurício Cabral hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luís Arantes might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sílvio Luís Arantes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, Chico Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Horácio da Mata. LiverFla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Horácio da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Cardozo in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind LiverFla's goalkeeper Horácio da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joana's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
