Bernardo Valladares charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute of the match Ivo Sanches sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko de Almeida skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Pirani got free with Jailson Santana in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alexandre Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Kapiting defense, Cláudio Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Santana. The Kapiting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Santana should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the game, Dedê Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maiquinique EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kapiting the free kick. Dedê Linares hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Jardel Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maiquinique EC's Kiko de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kiko de Almeida didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kapiting's Alexandre Teixeira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Alexandre Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maiquinique EC's Kiko de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedê Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kapiting's zone, Cláudio Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Santana came out of the goal and Cláudio Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jardel Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko de Almeida was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Jardel Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Kiko de Almeida made a huge save. Kiko de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Esteves in the 62nd minute of the match. When Alexandre Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Kapiting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Teixeira couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute Jardel Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko de Almeida having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Kapiting got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Mandrak. When Cláudio Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Maiquinique EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Pirani couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Ivo Sanches sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Maiquinique EC's Kiko de Almeida didn't even have to move. When the final whistle sounded Kapiting left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maiquinique EC.
