Luiz Fernando Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fernando Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Britto having to interfere. The supporters of União Cedrense FSCMZ booed when Atlético Alagoano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The União Cedrense FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when União Cedrense FSCMZ's Rubens Santos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Alagoano's zone, Rubens Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Britto came out of the goal and Rubens Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Cristiano Britto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fernando Meira went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Luiz Fernando Meira struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cristiano Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Cedrense FSCMZ. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubens Santos in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. União Cedrense FSCMZ's Luiz Fernando Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atlético Alagoano's Guilherme Matos got a free kick in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Rubens Santos notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Atlético Alagoano's Cristiano Britto. Cristiano Britto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Luiz Fernando Meira came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the União Cedrense FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Meira couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fernando Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cristiano Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Luiz Fernando Meira made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Alagoano's Cristiano Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Meira in the 87th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Luiz Fernando Meira made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Alagoano's Cristiano Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando Meira in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that União Cedrense FSCMZ were the better team. União Cedrense FSCMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
