After a rather tough play, Ramalho's Amadeu Oliveira got a free kick in the 5th minute. A hard shot by Rômulo Goiano from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got André Rezende's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 9 minutes into the game, Gino Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ondina EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ramalho the free kick. Kaká Maia shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Prata in the 13th minute of play forced Ondina EC's goalkeeper Celso Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Rezende having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Roberto Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramalho's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Mattos's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Rômulo Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Hudson Prata came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ramalho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Prata couldn't finish the play. Celso Paranaense came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ramalho's Roberto Mattos. But to his dismay, Roberto Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hudson Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Ondina EC's zone, Roberto Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Paranaense came out of the goal and Roberto Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roberto Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Celso Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Rezende having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Roberto Mattos made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gino Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 played minutes, Ramalho's Kaká Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celso Paranaense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ramalho reached it. Belmiro Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. André Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ondina EC. André Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Mangueira in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Inácio Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Rezende. Ramalho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inácio Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Celso Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Roberto Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramalho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Ramalho's Hudson Prata dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. A collision led to Ramalho getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Zé Augusto Netto hit a great ball. André Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Belmiro Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Rezende having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Inácio Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ondina EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Oliveira hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Ramalho players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
