Spectators: 6571 (Terracing: 5521, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) Mulambo's Reinaldo Ortiz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Cristiano Sena fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Reinaldo Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Ortiz in the 8th minute of play. Erasmo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Amadeu Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Leyliño's Gil Madureira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Alexsandro Vander fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leyliño's protests and gave Alexsandro Vander a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Leyliño got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Vander. In the 20th minute, Cristiano Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Lúcio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Lucas was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The supporters of Mulambo booed when Leyliño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mulambo's zone, Lúcio Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Magalhães came out of the goal and Lúcio Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leyliño's Erik Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Lucas in the 35th minute of play. Cristiano Sena's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erik Lucas firmly grabbed it by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Mulambo's Cristiano Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Lucas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Ortiz in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Lucas saved Leyliño from getting behind. Cristiano Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Erik Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Pedro Paulo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Lucas having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Sena in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Mulambo's Reinaldo Ortiz in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leyliño's goalie prevented a goal. If Reinaldo Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Leyliño's Lúcio Cordeiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Cristiano Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson Simão hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Lopes in the 75th minute of play forced Mulambo's goalkeeper Amadeu Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaldo Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Erik Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mulambo. Erik Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mulambo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
