The referee ignored Terezinha AD's protests and gave Benjamin Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamin Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Edgar Dubilas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jijoca SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Dubilas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Kiko Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Duarte in the 13th minute of play forced Jijoca SC's goalkeeper Szymon Prusinowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sandrinho Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Terezinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandrinho Dracena couldn't finish the play. Szymon Prusinowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Duarte in the 16th minute of play. Tostão Galvão struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Szymon Prusinowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terezinha AD. Jijoca SC's Szymon Prusinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Galvão in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes Jijoca SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Terra who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Terezinha AD's zone, Leonardo Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Faria came out of the goal and Leonardo Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Szymon Prusinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, Lenílson Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Kiko Saldanha took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Yan Faria to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 34 in the game by Leonardo Donato from a close distance when the talented Yan Faria managed to make a qualified save. Terezinha AD's players were relieved. In the 35th minute Tomé Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szymon Prusinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Szymon Prusinowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Dubilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Donato made a kick off. If Edgar Dubilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yan Faria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Dubilas went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Fernando Valle hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match.
