The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Baptista got free with Lauro Torres in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nico Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Lauro Torres made a huge save. Vicente Baptista scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lauro Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Márcio Galvão took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Lauro Torres to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute Márcio Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Baete's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Galvão came free, but Lauro Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Merson Concursos FC booed when Baete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovani Cearense hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Lauro Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. Merson Concursos FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
